Opened a Chili Beer yesterday. Figured with two weeks of fermentation, another week of sitting in the bottle was enough to get an idea what it'll be like. Since the cooking with jalapeno had given it a fruit like flavor but no spicyness, i wasn't sure what the Serrano Peppers I used for bottling would do.

Let me tell you, they worked perfectly. The beer has a rather spicy aroma, but not so spicy that you need to follow up the beer with a different chaser. Of course, sitting in the bottle that may get a bit hotter. But overall it's everything I wanted it to be. Sweet.
